General Respiratory Wellness #SpongeYourLungs

The respiratory system is a subtle yet dynamic system embedded in the human body. It is one the system which creates a constant communication between our internal and external environment. Respiratory tract anatomically begins at the nostril continues through the nasal cavity, merges at the back of the oral cavity to form the throat. Down below the throat, in front of the oesophagus, the respiratory tract is modified into a larynx, the voice box. It continues down into the centre of the chest as the trachea. The end of the trachea is at the beginning of two sturdy bronchus which permeates into the lung tissue through repeated branching divisions. The end of this is at the alveolus, the grape-like air sacs laden with the capillary network which allows for gaseous exchange. Marvellously structured, the respiratory system is the core system responsible for life to exist.

INTRODUCTION

Breathing techniques called as Pranayama in the yogic system allows for the preservation and regulation of both the health and function of the respiratory system. A dynamic physical stretching of the body is also pivotal in maintaining the health of the respiratory system. Many respiratory diseases can easily be kept at bay and proven to be reversed altogether by these practices!
