INTRODUCTION
While many of us are aware of the general health benefits Hatha Yoga imparts on the physical body, very few are exposed to its specific role on cardiovascular health. The heart health seems to be primarily affected due to various reasons in the current era such us demanding life responsibilities, unresolved emotional baggage’s, high calorie/ fast food intake, lack of physical activities, deprivation of quality sleep and many more. Inevitably, these many factors take a toll on the optimum functioning of the heart and circulatory system and manifest as various subtle heart health disturbances. Disturbances such as variation in the filling pressure of the heart, increased resistance in the blood flow, fluctuations in heart rate leads to many diseases if left un-intervened for a prolonged period of time.
