WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Balance is the ability to maintain the center of gravity of the body with the base of support. A muscle imbalance is described as the size or strength different between muscle group, when one side of your body is larger, smaller, stronger, or weaker than the corresponding muscle on the others side. Most of the people, especially female attend yoga class have weak in upper body. Improper fitness programming, inadequate workout technique and tactical, mobility and flexibility and poor postures due to sedentary lifestyles are the most major factor cause of muscle imbalances.
This may lend to increased risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including damage to joints, ligaments, tendons, bones, muscles and connective tissue. The lack of physical activities that affect the upper body muscles and bones lead to loss of density of bones which may lead to osteoporosis, a major health issue. To prevent and correct muscle asymmetry, yoga activation exercises can enhance core abdominal strength that providing stability and ease of the body.
